Ballylinch Stud has a long history of not just breeding elite racehorses, but also racing them. We have horses in training with leading trainers across Ireland, Britain, France, USA and Australia.

The racing wing of Ballylinch saw continued success in 2025,  but it was the horses owned in partnership that recorded the most significant results. Ballylinch co-owned Stakes across the globe with Shuwari striking in the Prix de la Cochere L in France, New Endeavour took the Lord Mayor’s Cup Gr.3 in Australia, while closer to home Magical Hope ran away with the Munster Oaks Gr.3. The green and orange silks were carried to victory by Rowdy Yeats and Iowa City, who also claimed some Blacktype in the Navigation Stakes L, as well as Pintara who made a spectacular debut in a valuable maiden at Salisbury and has Blacktype aspirations.

Pre-Training

In keeping with our excellent record of producing young horses, we also pre-train for some of the world’s most successful breeders and trainers.  Our facilities include an all-weather seven furlong uphill gallop, an all-weather two furlong flat circular gallop, acres of uphill grass gallops, and miles of woodland trails. Combined with our experienced staff, private laboratory and resident vet we are in a perfect position to give our equine residents the best possible start to their racing careers.
